Diesel has well over Thirty or so years of experience in the area of mens designer clothing and during this time they have most certainly designed some of the most eyecatching, popular designs that have made their way to high street stores. Diesel are most famous for the denim clothes, in particular the Diesel denim jeans and this is a facet of the clothes range that they certainly do pride themselves on and go to great lengths to get right. It’s this dedication to perfection that makes Diesel clothing such a popular men’s designer clothes brand in the UK and throughout the rest of world. Diesel clothing and menswear is a popular choice amongst celebrities and fashion icons Dave Beckham, is often seen wearing Deisel jeans and t-shirts. There really is an enviable choice when it comes to Diesel clothes and the creativity of their designs really cannot be beaten!
The brand Diesel originated more than 20 years ago and is today an innovative international design company, manufacturing jeans and casual clothing as well as accessories. It is present in over Eighty countries worldwide with 10,000 points of sale and almost Fifty company-owned stores.
Most of Diesel’s current production is now out-sourced, to small and medium sized companies. Production of denim jeans is based exclusively in Italy. All international logistics operations (wholesale as well as retail) are centrally managed and very carefully controlled.
RENZO ROSSO, THE MAN BEHIND THE DIESEL BRAND
- the individual who has powered the Diesel clothing company’s growth is Renzo Rosso. who was Born 1955 in north-east of Italy, he attended an industrial textile manufacturing school and once graduating in 1975, started making his own clothes. In 1978 he joined with many other manufactures in his area to form the Genius Group, which created many successful brands still very well known and established today, including Katherine Hamnett, Goldie, Martin Guy, Goldie, Ten Big Boys and, of course, Diesel. In 1985 Renzo took complete control of Diesel by buying out the other partners and becoming the sole force behind the brand. From then on the company began a period of remarkable growth and expansion.
